Request for Bids - Floodwall Mural Lighting Project

The City of Paducah, Public Works Department will receive sealed bids for the City of Paducah Flood Wall Mural Lighting per Project Contract Documents prepared by Marcum Engineering, LLC.

Generally, the project consists of removal of existing Flood Wall Mural lighting and installation of new and expanded lighting and apparatuses. It is expected that a qualified Electrical Contractor will serve as General Contractor with little to no need for subcontractors..

Sealed bids will be received before 2:00 PM CST, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the City Clerk’s Office, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, Kentucky. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commission Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, Kentucky at 2:00 PM CST.

Contract Documents are on file at the office of the Engineer, Marcum Engineering, LLC, 500 South 17th Street, Paducah, Kentucky. Electronic copies of the documents will be available Monday June 26, 2023, and may be obtained at Paducah Blueprint.

A Pre-Bid meeting will not be held, but contractors are encouraged to make a site visit prior to bidding. Bids shall be submitted with a bid bond, payable to the City of Paducah, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A certified check or bank draft will be allowed in lieu of the Bid Bond.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay all fees for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds per the Contract Documents. No proposal shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days. The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any informalities.
