Bid Specifications for Damaged Wall Repair
Support existing roof structure and removal of damaged load bearing precast wall panels and replace with new CMU wall in accordance with an engineered design. Replacement of interior and exterior concrete and asphalt paving to be in kind with existing conditions as noted on design. Successful bidder to provide all material, shoring, equipment, and labor to complete the job. Disposal of all debris and material to be responsibility of the successful bidder.
All efforts should be made to leave the existing roof undisturbed. Should roof repairs become necessary as part of the work, a supplemental bid shall be submitted and must be approved by the City prior to the commencement of additional work.
Change orders or alternate materials must be approved by the City before Change Order work may commence.
The City will supply special inspection(s) of the repair work to be performed by the design engineer. Acceptance of the repairs by the engineer will be required prior to issuance of final payment.
Bidders to accompany copies of General Liability, Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance coverage with bid submission.
Successful Bidder to obtain a Newport Occupational License and Building Permit from the City of Newport prior to commencement of work.
