HWU generally purchases vehicles through approved State or Cooperative Contracts.  With the current supply challenges, we have decided to purchase this vehicle from a dealership who either already has the vehicle or has the vehicle ordered and can give an acceptable delivery date (within 30 days). While we understand that we will not be able to receive “fleet pricing,” we do believe that we should be able to receive a fair price and our purchasing statutes require us to use this process to give all vendors a chance to respond.

With all of this being said, you must submit your pricing on the forms provided, via sealed envelope, by the deadline listed on the bid (March 14, 1:30 p.m.). It is our intent to take the best bid (lowest price that meets specifications and acceptable delivery date) to our Board meeting on March 18 for approval. March19 will be the day that we can issue a Purchase Order for the vehicle(s) that we plan to purchase.
